Jeffrey A. Carr - Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing & Entrepreneurship & Executive Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies
Jeffrey A. Carr has been on the faculty of the New York University Stern School of Business for 14 years and became the Executive Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies in September 2007. Professor Carr teaches Strategic Marketing, International Marketing and Marketing Management in the M.B.A. and Executive M.B.A. programs, and the Venture Planning Practicum in the Undergraduate program. He is a past recipient of the Stern/Citibank Teaching Award.
Professor Carr, president of Marketing Foundations Inc is also an entrepreneur and marketing consultant with clients worldwide in the manufacturing and service industries. Consulting and lecturing extensively in the Europe, Asia, Africa and the U.S., he has completed consulting projects and delivered executive development programs for Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM, General Electric, Pfizer, Kodak, Time Inc., and Unilever, among others. As part of his social entrepreneurship activities Professor Carr is involved in a United Nations-sponsored program to help developing countries create more effective budgeting strategies and implementation plans for their healthcare initiatives and regularly consults with non-profit organizations regarding their strategic planning.

Robert Davidman – CEO, EarthQuake Media
Robert has a solid decade of integrated media experience with a strong focus on building and executing new media campaigns. Robert’s areas of expertise include broadcast media, online media, corporate strategy development, and marketing planning and strategy. At EarthQuake Robert sets the vision and strategy for the agency.
Before joining EarthQuake, Robert was the Director of International Broadcast Services for Yahoo (formerly Broadcast.com), where he developed and implemented the Internet broadcast business model in 24 countries outside the United States. At Yahoo, Robert served as a company evangelist for emerging media. As well, he counseled senior management at Yahoo on how to sustain the business long term in their local countries.
Joshua Landes – Co-Manager, Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value L.P.
Joshua Landes has co-managed Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value L.P. since its inception in November 1992, Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value L.P. I since its inception in July 1997 and the Wynnefield Small Cap Value Offshore Fund, Limited since its inception in January 1997. Prior thereto, he was employed at Lazard Freres & Co. from 1984 to 1991. During this period, he served as a trading assistant, analyst and institutional equity salesman in the capital markets group and was an associate at Lazard Realty. Mr. Landes received a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University. He is married and has one daughter and two sons.
Josh is an original member of AIPAC’s New Leadership Network and is the Riverdale regional president of NORPAC, the largest PAC promoting the U.S.-Israel relationship. He is involved with numerous charitable causes and sits on several boards. He enjoys an interest in architecture which included helping to finance the 2003 Academy Award nominated documentary “My Architect.”
Allan Levy – Founder & CEO, SellUp Inc.
Established in 2007, SellUp, Inc. is an internet retail marketing company.
Allan is also a partner in various internet start-ups including Apparition Ads, a Facebook ad Serving company, Bumpnose an online apparel company and Naturale Beauty a cosmetic company.
Allan’s most recent past venture was as Founder & CEO of SilverCarrot Inc. an Internet based marketing company providing lead generation services to Fortune 500 companies. He also founded and operated International Merchandising Group (IMG), a Hong Kong based, international trading company with fully staffed offices in nine countries. Allan successfully sold his interest in IMG to invest in his next entrepreneurial venture, Apparel Alliance, a manufacturing and distribution company for branded children’s apparel.
Allan is involved in several non-profits, including The Angel Fund, where Allan is a former President and current member of the Board of Directors. The Angel Fund is an organization engaged in guiding business start-ups, turn around and career placement. Additionally, Allan is a Financial Officer of the Yeshivah of Flatbush, a private school in Brooklyn. He has served on the school’s board since 2005. Allan is a graduate of Brooklyn College.
Murray Hidary - Founder of EarthWeb & iAmplify
With 15 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, Murray Hidary is currently the Co-founder and CEO of iAmplify a technology media company that enables owners of audio and video content to publish and sell on the Web. Murray is world class serial entrepreneur and investor with the experience of and having previously taken a company from inception to public offering.
Prior to iAmplify, Murray served as Co-Founder and Managing Director of Vista Research, an independent financial research provider serving the country’s largest hedge funds and mutual funds. Vista Research was acquired by McGraw-Hill/Standard & Poor’s in April 2005.
Murray was the Co-Founder of Dice, Inc. (formerly EarthWeb), where his responsibilities included managing the company’s global Mergers & Acquisition efforts as well as its Strategic Investments Program. Under his management, the company completed multiple capital raisings totaling over $150 million including a successful initial public offering in 1998. Murray also completed over twenty acquisitions and strategic investments in IT related companies and divested the company’s content business.
Murray’s background includes a diverse mix of the arts and business. A graduate of New York University in Music and Composition, Murray Hidary is an accomplished composer and photographer. Murray is involved with several philanthropic causes. He is the Board President of the new music string quartet “Ethel” and resides on the board of Four Way Books, a publisher of poetry and short fiction by emerging and established writers. He is also a member of the New York University Dean’s Advisory Council and is the recipient of the NYU Distinguished Service Award. Murray also has a passion for the environment and alternative energy and is a proud owner of a Prius hybrid car.
